Things to Do in Ibiza

Sandy beaches, stunning scenery, sport, nightlife and adventure: it’s fair to say that the island paradise of Ibiza has it all! At Flaherty’s, we do more than just serve drinks. We consider ourselves an integral part of the Ibiza legend. Nestled in the heart of this stunning island, we’ve crafted an Irish oasis where the spirit of the Emerald Isle meets the magic of the Mediterranean. That’s why we’re here to take you through the 5 best things to do while visiting Ibiza so that you make the most of every second on your holiday of a lifetime.

Hiking

Ibiza boasts a plethora of breathtaking views, making it the perfect destination for those who enjoy spending time in nature. For seasoned hikers, we recommend taking the 11.4 km trail that starts at Es Cubells and finishes in Cala Llentrisca. Passing through a mountainous area, you’ll need to equip yourself with quality hiking equipment and apparel. The climb is steep at times, but the views are certainly worth it. Alternatively, if you’re looking for an easier route, suitable for families with young children, we recommend taking the route that starts at Sol d’en Terra and ends at Carrer des Mur Aconagua. This 4 km route is one of the least taxing hiking routes on the island but provides an excellent panorama of the island.

Beaches

The beaches of Ibiza really have to be seen to be believed. Famous for their white sands, breathtaking vistas, and chilled atmosphere, Ibiza’s beaches have excellent facilities, and it’s no wonder why the island receives so many return visitors. Here is a list of some of the best beaches to visit while you’re on holiday in Ibiza:

  • Cala Bassa
  • Cala Saladeta
  • Cala Comte
  • Cala Tarida
  • Cala LLonga

Boat Tours

One way to make sure you take in all the beauty on offer is to take a boat tour around the island. With a range of hop-on hop-off tours in operation, it’s the perfect way to experience the island in its entirety.

Water Sports

For those with a taste for adventure, Ibiza will not disappoint. The island is famous for its variety of adventure activities and water sports. Jet skis are readily available to hire from various points on the island. What’s more, Ibiza has ample facilities for activities such as parasailing, paddle surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, and a whole lot more. Then, for the truly daring, there’s Ibiza’s famous slingshot attraction in San Antonio. This involves being flung 72 metres in the air within 3 seconds! Needless to say, it’s not for the faint-hearted.

Nightlife

Perhaps the jewel in the Ibiza crown is its unbeatable nightlife. A who’s who of the music world descends on Ibiza every summer to entertain locals and visitors alike. There’s also a hopping nightclub scene that caters to a wide variety of music genres and tastes.
